Overview
Kodi is a free, open-source media player that turns your Firestick into a full-featured entertainment hub. You can stream movies, TV shows, music, and much more. Since Kodi is not available on the Amazon App Store, you will need to sideload it onto your device.
Step 1: Prepare Your Firestick
- Go to Settings from the Firestick home screen.
- Select My Fire TV.
- Open Developer Options and turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. Confirm any prompts.
Step 2: Install the Downloader App
- From the home screen, click the Search icon and type Downloader.
- Select the Downloader app and click Get to install it.
Step 3: Download Kodi Using Downloader
- Open the Downloader app.
- Enter the Kodi download URL: https://kodi.tv/download and click Go.
- Select Android as the platform.
- Choose ARMV7A (32BIT) for Firestick and download the APK file.
Step 4: Install Kodi
- When the download is complete, click Install to add Kodi to your Firestick.
- Click Open to launch Kodi, or find it later in your Apps section.
Step 5: Set Up Kodi
- Install official add-ons from the Kodi repository to access movies, TV shows, and live channels.
- Customize Kodi settings under System to improve performance and interface.
- Use a reliable VPN to protect your privacy while streaming.
Important Notes
- Only install official Kodi add-ons or verified content sources to avoid piracy.
- Using a VPN is highly recommended to secure your connection and bypass ISP throttling.
